Health Ministry

Health – as well as spiritual – ministry has its roots in early Christianity, when churches often provided the only health care services available to their communities. Today, we believe that all faith communities can be places of health and healing, and have a role in promoting spiritual, mental and physical well-being.

Rooted in the vision of Christ as Healer, our Pastors, Parish Nurse, and supporting Health Council, emphasize a holistic approach to health which encompasses body, mind and spirit. Services range from informational programs on current health issues and volunteer training, to regular blood pressure clinics and support to seniors, individual and family counseling, and advocacy. As well, prayer, meditation and the sacraments play vital roles in our commitment to support and care for one another.
