Confirmation

Confirmation is an intentional learning opportunity for students in Grades 7 & 8.  During their gathering time, they explore and challenge one another on issues of faith and discipleship in their everyday lives.  Classes are held on Sunday mornings from 9:50 - 10:30am, to allow them to both attend class and participate in worship. We also have a Thursday night once-a-month class, which gives the confirmands a chance to explore the worship space and do some hands on learning. The curriculum rotates each year focusing on and Martin Luther's Small Catechism one year and Biblical study & Church History in the other year. In addition to their classes, confirmation students are invited to serve the congregation in many ways: acolytes, lectors, crucifers, Communion assistants, and Assisting ministers.
