Confirmation Camp

Confirmation Camp is a week long education program for Youth ages 12-14 at Mount
Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Our youth gather at Camp Edgewood in Eden Mills
during the last week of August each summer for fellowship, learning and worship
opportunities in the Lutheran Faith. We join with 10 other local congregations for this
week long event.

While the purpose of this week of camp is to provide continuing education for our
confirmation youth, we also provide leadership training for our youth who are post
confirmation age, thought our VET programme. Youth must be 14+ years of age, and
participated in at least one week of confirmation camp as a camper in order to apply.

We also offer our older youth, opportunities to share their leadership skills with the
community, through positions of camp counselors. Youth must be 16+ years of age to
apply as a counselor. We feel that having youth from our own congregations, who have been through the camper and VET programmes, make valuable role models for our week at camp. Application form can be found here.
