Christmas week
Holden Evening Prayer, Candles and Music
Christmas 2020 will be different, but no less special, than in years past. It starts Tuesday when a few volunteers will put up the Christmas tree in the sanctuary and add a few candles. Wednesday, Dec 23, we celebrate the 4th week of Advent with the stunningly beautiful Holden Evening Prayer. We will continue to bring out the candles for Christmas Eve where there will be single service streamed at 7 p.m. You are invited to visit and share Christmas greetings by Zoom prior to the service. On Christmas Day, join Pastor Philip for a visit at 9:30 followed by a Christmas Service at 10 am. All the links you need can be found below.

We are very pleased to present ‘A Christmas to Believe In’ and hope you will join us on Sunday morning as we also sing a virtual Happy Birthday to Jesus....but is the cake real?!? You'll have to tune in to find out!
We also welcome guest Alpha Kayondo who is a native of Guelph and University of Guelph music Alumni. This young artist commenced his music career in a guitar studio at the tender age of five. Amy Di Nino
In an effort to share Advent resources, the pastors of the Two River’s Ministry Area have gathered recorded resources. As with last Sunday’s service, some of those resources will be included this Sunday. The quality of the videos varies, but the messages are clear and heart felt.

In Our Prayers
This week we were saddened to learn of the passing of Verna Glebe. Her husband Delton was the founding pastor of Mount Zion and Verna became a charter member. She remained active until she moved to Luther Village a few years ago. She is pictured here at our 60th Anniversary Service in January 2017. Given restrictions, the interment will be private, with just the family in attendance. Let us uphold the family in our thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of grief.
Rest eternal grant her O, Lord, and let light perpetual shine on her.
.Let us continue to remember Margaret, David, Rosalie, Marjorie, Barb, Peter, George, Wilhelmina, and Betty in our prayers, for wholeness and relief. Let us also pray for Bill and Karen Gastmeier and their family as they mourn the death of Bill’s brother Andrew and also the Glebe family mourning the death of Verna. Let us remember the various congregations as the prepare to celebrate in this very restricted and differen situation. for pastors and lay leaders and others orgainizing worship services virtually.
Let us continue to pray for everyone impacted by the pandemic and pray for fairness in its distribution.
